Chili Cheesecakes Batman, its a Cataract Trip!
Hydro Tasmania are doing a recreational release from Trevallyn Dam into what is arguably one of the best bits of white water rafting in Australia – Cataract Gorge.
This is a rare opportunity to jump on this amazing bit of river under controlled conditions. Cataract is a solid G4+ river, so it’s not for the faint of heart. But if you’re seeking a kick, then this is a river for you!
Water will be on from 8 am to 4 pm this Saturday 16th of December. Plan will be to meet at club sheds at 6 am, pack quick, roll north, then jump on river for a day of action packed rafting.
You’ll need to bring your regular gear for rafting – sturdy footwear, warm clothes to wear on river (thermals, wool, polar – but no cotton), some lunch, and some petrol money for carpooling. The club will have all the rest!
Spaces may be limited, so jump in quick! Also, experienced guides needed to get this show of the ground, if you’re keen let me know!
