We’ve got a swift water Rescue course being run in mid-January of 2020 which is an exciting opportunity for guides and experienced rafters to up skill. This course covers a wide array of whitewater rescue techniques over three days of hands on training. This sort of training is very valuable and is the sort of experience one would need to be at a senior guide level within the club or as to work as a commercial guide.
Course cost is $580 in total however the rafting club is offering to subsidise $250 of this for successful applicants bringing to cost down to $330 per person.
To apply you need to write a paragraph or two about why you want to go on the course. Selections will be based on the value that going on the training course will bring to the rafting club going forward. There are 5 places in total.
Applications by email to myself, selection will be made by a committee of at minimum two senior guides with no conflict of interest relating to the course. Applications must be in by the 14th of September.
